で全米書評賞を獲得した中国系アメリカ人女性作家Maxine Hong Kingston(1940-)は、ピユーリツァー賞にノミネートされた第2作 China Menに続き、第3作 Tripmaster Monkeyでも好評を博し、今やアメリカの大学で最も読まれる作家の一人となっている。長編自伝小説The Woman
