Research 1 explores a literature research on a thesis about “The Giving Tree.” Research 2 examined the impressions of students group (N=144) and mothers group (N=30) after reading the book, using quantitative text analysis. Research 1 considers not only that the book contains a lot of essences that can be found in Japanese mother-children relationship but also “Amae” and “Motherhood.” Then tried to make a hypothesis on the desirable role of motherhood in the growth process. Research 2 discovers both the younger generation and the parent generation were impressed by the picture book. Moreover, it also finds that the experiences and human relations peculiar to their ages are being projected on this picture book. As the time goes through, more and more fathers acquire maternity; then, it is necessary that the maternity in mothers should have been re-examined. Further studies are needed in order to consider what is needed to raise children. The picture book “The Giving Tree” invites me to the clinical psychological world of picture books. I would like to show my appreciation to the meeting with this book and thanks to the encounter with the woman called “tree” in me.}, pages = {1--14}, title = {絵本「おおきな木」の臨床心理学的考察-計量テキスト分析を用いて-}, volume = {18}, year = {2018}, yomi = {ミツバヤシ, マユミ} }
