This research included multi-regression statistical analysis regarding survey data on the extent of children's social abilities, as measured on a revised children's rating scale (Shibata, 2017). As a result, the following four points were inferred: \n\n1) a consistent use of vocabulary words begins in later infancy; \n2) an increase in vocabulary during child-care affects work, group participation and self-control; \n3) there is a relationship between children who cannot increase their vocabulary and children who cannot exercise self-control with problems; \n4) the increase in vocabulary in later infancy has two benefits, which include enabling children to communicate continually using only language (at an average age of five years) and also enabling children to communicate about past situations, circumstances and experiences (at an average age of five years and six months).\n\nIn summary, the knowledge gained from this study of later infancy supports the conclusion that vocabulary development promotes better work, group participation and self-control of each child. And as a result of this research, we can describe a better approach to the practice of early child-care and
