Notably, in Japan, anime music and idol songs support current sales of compact disks.Voice actors were behind the scenes since the commencement of television animation;however, they gradually began making public appearances, and some were even said to be “voice actor idols.” Voice actors’ musical activities were stimulated by (1) the maturing fan culture and increased interests in their works and (2) the music industry’s active involvement in the production of such works. Additionally, the factors of voice actors’ musical activities that facilitate several opportunities for building a fan base include being recognized as voice actors, the characters they have played, and their singing talents.
