内容記述 | This article treats the typical processes of Japanese-style play therapy that is characterized by the participation and the coordination of the therapist to the child’s play. The role of the therapist is divided into two elements. One role element is “the environment” and the other is “the object”. The former case might be termed “dramatized play therapy” where the clients (usually girls, sometimes boys) expect the therapist to be included in the inanimate setting of the play room. The typical processes of this dramatized play therapy are as follows: the stage of the introduction and deepening of the story, the stage of the expression of the deep conflicts, the stage of the destruction and reconstruction of the world image, and the stage of returning to the real world. The latter one would be called the “gamatized(game type) play therapy”, where the therapist is treated as the rival or companion of the clients (mainly boys). The typical processes of gamatized play therapy are as follows: the stage of the decisive homage, the stage of equivalent partnership, the stage of hard combat, and the stage of the expression and control of feelings through verbalization. In addition, the situations of therapist change and those of the mother-therapist conflicts in play therapy are discussed. | |||||
