| 内容記述 | Hoikushi is a national qualification for skilled nursery teachers in Japan. There are two ways to get this qualification: one is by completing a graduate course, the other by taking a national examination. The students in this department become qualified by taking the examination. In this paper, the writer first introduces the contents of the exam and discusses the nature of the nursery works as well as the relationship between the nursery teacher and clinical psychology. The Hoikushi Examination consists of a written test and a practical test. The written test contains 10 content-rich subjects. The quality which is necessary to Hoikushi has been found to be able to get the clinical judgment of children and to understand the psychology of children and parents. Moreover, the close relationship between Hoikushi and clinical psychology has been clarified. Recently, the writer started a study group for helping students to get the qualification of Hoikushi and students worked hard to learn. After the examination, they cooperated in the investigation by questionnaires. As a result, they were neither familiar with "Child Nutrition," nor were they good at it. But they were familiar with "Developmental Psychology" which was a favorite subject for them. The purpose for students of this faculty to pass the examination is to find employment. They are aiming at a higher quality nursery teacher with the knowledge of clinical psychology. It is recommended that anyone who works with children should take the Hoikushi examination. It is very preferable in the future that the Hoikushi acquisition becomes possible in our faculty since our department is planning to develop more and more. Though this has been developed by KBU clinical psychology professors, we should not forget those senior students' secret challenges in the shadow. | |||||||||||
