内容記述 AAIDD(American Association on Intellectual and developmental Disabilities) published 11th definition of Intellectual Disability in 2010. The difintion about adaptive behavior and its assessment includes following points. 1. Intellectual disability is characterized by significant limitations both in intellectual functioning and in adaptive behavior. 2. Adaptive behavior is the collection of conceptual, social, and placrtical skills in everyday life. 3. Significant limitations(two standard deviations below) in adaptive behavior using standardized measures. 4. Standard error of measurement maut be considered. The author developed an assessment scale about social abilities of children (application age :1:0 - 10:11). This scale has six areas ; Self independence, Movement, Operation, Communication, Group participation and Self control(Shibata, 2006 : 2013). We used this scale for the diagnosis of intellectual disabled children in Kyoto prefectural Child Guidance Center. And in 2012, we researched the diagnostic results of 447 Intellectual disabled children in Kyoto prefectural Child Guidance Center. Purposes of This research were examinations about correspondence between AAIDD's definition and our diagnosis, about social abilities of intellectual disabled children on this assessment scale, about meaning and validity of our assessment method, and about difference between intellectual functioning and social abilities(adaptive behavior). Conclusions of this study are as follows; 1. Auther's assessment method was fitted the definition of AAIDD about the areas of social abilities, standardization, and standard error. 2. acquisition process of social abilities was different between normal children and intellectual disabled children. 3. In intellectual disabled children, social abilities were correlative to intellectual functioning on the whole. But in individual datas, each person's level of social abilities was defferent from the level of intellectual functioning severally. 4. Intellectual disability was characterized by significant limitations both in intellectual functioning and in adaptive behavior. But significant limitations in intellectual functioning were defferent from significant limitations in social abilities. Then intellectual functioning and social abilities were defferent developmental domains. 5. In six areas of social abilities scale, significant limitations from Intellectual disability were diverse.
