| 内容記述 | This short essay aims at exploring an effective way for teaching English to the Japanese learners, looking at the significance of the passing rite in acquiring a new language. Historical review of the English education in Japan seeks to clarify and identify what has been at issue in the English education in Japan. This essay, mainly based upon my teaching experience at high schools and universities for the past 19 years, together with the action research in a private high school and literature review of the relevant documents, ultimately expects to suggest ideas to improve the whole system of teaching English in Japan. | |||||||||||
