| 内容記述 | This paper deals with the Swedish village-circle movements which were quite popular in the early 1980s all over Sweden, especially in Dalarna, one of the traditional regions in the middle of the country. The village-circle movements mean group activities in which participants, most of whom live in the village they research or have some roots in it, study old ways of the village life about 100 years before. In this paper I focus on the village-circles of Leksand city, along Lake Siljan and one of the most famous tourist spots in Dalarna for its well-preserved, old-style Swedish farmhouses. The first chapter deals with the village circle activities in Leksand in the 60s, the 70s, and the early 80s. In the second chapter I take an example from my anthropological research village, L, and show the details of its circle activity on the basis of an interview with a former circle-leader, Mr. W. In the third chapter I try to explain the background behind the village-circle boom in Leksand. The factors which seem to have caused the boom include the topographical character of village forms which lie so close each other, nature-minded new-comers and returnees, and the Swedish notion of home place and farming village. In addition to those, I discuss "a study circle", which is one of the most popular Swedish adult-education systems, emphasizing that the popularity of this education system among Swedes plays an important part in the success to the village-circle movements. | |||||||||
