内容記述 | This article is a case study on the rehabilitation of an elementary school teacher, A, (50s, female) who was good at teaching art but retired from the school due to depression. She undertook the challenge of designing and formulating an arts program at the Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Center (DARC) which could aid the recovery of DARC members by helping them express themselves. In the month prior to and during the program, when she prepared and taught the DARC members, she was not a depressed person but was an educator and a caregiver who had worked at the school for 30 years. So, this program made her feel empowered and confident again. Therefore, even after retiring from school, depression rehabilitation is possible if the appropriate place and time are chosen. Recovery from a mental condition can be made through interaction with people from different backgrounds and attributes, but of equal stature, rather than with privileged healthcare professionals. | |||||||||||
