| 内容記述 | Maurice Messegue was born in a small village of Gavare in Gascogne in 1921, and learned botanical healing from his father, Camille. His art of botanical healing has been a part of the Message family for some five hundred years, and has originated from botanical folk medicine in South-western France. Messegue's knowledge of herbs was transferred from "The Bible of Herbs", an old illustrated book that had been handed from generation to generation. Maurice's father, Camille, also had learned his way of healing by this "Bible", and was a man who was called a magician, or healer. Camille had no job other than smelling the scent of herbs in bloom, looking up at the moon to ascertain the best time to collect herbs, observing animals to determine how they used herbs in time of physical trouble, and hearing the sound of water running from the earth ; thus giving life to both herbs and men. Maurice was very proud of his father's way of living, and as a child he took walks with his father, looking for herbs in the field. In this paper, I have attempted to introduce the modem aspect of his art of healing. At present, there are three cure-centers in Switzerland and Italy where Messegue's way of healing is practiced. I visited two cure-centers in Switzerland in September, 1997; and I observed the healing process modernized there, the details of which are reported and analyzed in this paper. | |||||||||
