| 内容記述 | For more than 10 years, the author has conducted interview surveys of people who actually operate third places and has analyzed the process of building third places by their operators(practitioners)．In addition, considering what human resources and their roles are necessary for the operation of a third place, the author has attempted to consider the factors that contributed to the establishment of a third place and the continuation of its subsequent operation and practice by tracing the initial motivation for its establishment and the subsequent transformation process through an analysis of the life stories of people who are committed to the operation of the third place(Hirano 2025). In the course of conducting the above interview survey, the author met people who could only be understood as “having been in close proximity to the third place practices that are currently being addressed as a result of their entire life history, from their childhood to their current early years. Although they had very unique and interesting life histories, we are unable to obtain a clear analysis of the process of building the third place from the interviews, as we did in the previous study. However, by looking at the “life history” of the interviewee as a whole as a life story(narrative), the inevitability of the person's proximity to “third-place support activities” as a consequence of his or her life became clear. In this study, as a continuation of the previous study, the authors attempted to examine how the two individuals approached “third-place support” and the meaning and necessity of developing support activities in the course of their various social relationships over their long life histories through reading their “life histories” as described above. |
