| 内容記述 | This paper puts the Japanese Way of of Incense (Kō-dō), as a Zen-art-form, in relation to Zen-Buddhist concepts of harmony (wa), respect (kei), purity (sei) tranquility (jaku) and imperfect beauty (wabi-sabi). It will be shown how it is used as a non-conceptual media to evoke or express that which cannot be put into words. This inexpressible suchness of reality is also related to ‘Buddha-nature’, or ‘brightly shining citta’, or ‘luminous mind’. | |||||||||||
