| 内容記述 | The “GIGA（Global and Innovation Gateway for All）School” concept in junior and senior high schools were launched by the national government in 2019. Since then, prefectural boards of education have worked with the national government and municipalities to develop and utilize “one by one” tablet terminals environment for every child. In 2021, the government carried out “questionnaire for teachers regarding the GIGA school concept” to explore the present situation of ICT utilization. The questionnaire revealed the need for improving ICT educational environment and the need for the training for every teacher to reduce excessive works concentrated on teachers who have skillful ICT utilization literacy. In this review, I will briefly discuss the current situation and issues regarding the use of ICT in English education at junior and senior high schools, and propose the effective use of ICT in foreign language departments. |
